Sunrisers Hyderabad posted 287-3 in 20 overs to reset their record total at RCB’s den. The opener headed the fourth fastest century in IPL history Classen Played a quick-fire knock of 67 runs off 31 balls.

Virat Kohli has retained the top spot

Leading RCB’s reply in a high-scoring encounter, run-machine Kohli scored 42 off 20 balls as the batting icon cleaned up spinner Mayank Markande after a powerplay. Kohli’s knock of 42 runs paved the way for the former RCB skipper to retain the top spot in the Orange Cap rankings. RCB captain Faf du Plessis scored a magnificent half-century while Dinesh Karthik scored 83 runs off 35 balls to guide RCB to 262-7. Kohli is the top batsman in IPL 2024 with 361 runs in 7 matches.

SRH batsman Klaasen took the sixth position (253) with his decisive knock against RCB. The Australian captain is ranked eighth in the Orange Cap rankings. Head has scored 235 runs in 5 matches for Cummins & Co this season. The SRH opener was named man of the match for his batting prowess. “Had some lunch and bathed. An exciting game again after the Mumbai match. Beautifully played. We thought we should adjust in the first six overs. But we had a batting order and he had license to follow the bowlers. We complement each other well. He is a young man. We undermined each other’s confidence. I was happy with the way I hit the ball today,” Head said after the match.
