Heeramandi courtesan Nargis And Film producer Khwaja Mazhar Love Story in Pakistan Lahore

Heeramandi-The Diamond Bazaar: Hiramandi is located in Lahore, Pakistan. This is an area where prostitution has been going on for decades. The prostitution business that has been going on since the rule of the Mughals is very special in itself. During the Mughal rule, Nawabs used to come in droves to see the mujra of tawaifs in Hiramandi. Nawabs used to come not only from Lahore but thousands of miles away from Lucknow and Hyderabad to see the performance of the courtesans of that time. Time passed and soon the prostitution business here also started reaching its peak.

It was the year 1843, when Lahore was ruled by Maharaja Ranjit Singh. His son’s name was Hira Singh Dobra. He was made the Prime Minister of Lahore. This area was named Hiramandi after his name.

Film producer Khwaja Mazhar reached Hiramandi

In the year 1970, film producer Khawaja Mazhar was looking for a female actress for the star cast of his film Kaso. In this search, Mazhar had reached Hiramandi. There his eyes fell on Nargis. He talked about casting Nargis in his film. Nargis was ready for the film. However, this was not Nargis’s first film. Even before this, Nargis had done many films. In the year 1964, Nargis entered the world of Pakistani cinema with her first film Ishrat.

When Mazhar became crazy about Nargis, but…

Mazhar fell in love with Nargis during the shooting of the film Kaso. Meanwhile, Mazhar and Nargis (Niggo) got married. During that time, there was a rule in Lahore that whenever a girl got married to Hiramandi, the boy had to pay her a fair price. Despite all the rules and conditions, Khwaja Mazhar married Niggo. Nargis’s mother did not like working in films. Somehow, Nargis’s mother, making the excuse of her illness, called Nargis back to her brothel.

After staying with his mother for a long time, Niggo also started moving away from Mazhar. Even after several calls from Mazhar, Niggo did not return. Meanwhile, one day Mazhar reached Nargis’s brothel. Mazhar asked Niggo to go back with him, but Niggo did not listen to him. After that something happened which no one even knew about. Mazhar took out a pistol from his pocket and shot Niggo. Nargis died on the spot. After this, Mazhar was sentenced to life imprisonment.

Recently, Hiramandi, which came on Netflix, is in the news a lot. Heeramandi is a drama series created by Bollywood director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, which has been released on Netflix on May 1. The lead roles include Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Richa Chadha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sanjeeda Shaikh and Sharmin Shegal. The response to this series was very good. People are getting very good reviews about this series. It has also been given a rating of 4.5.
