These figures have been released 11 days after the first and 4 days after the second phase. According to the Commission, 66.14 percent voting took place in the first phase and 66.71 percent voting took place in the second phase. In the interim figures it was said to be around 62 and 61 percent. This was compared to the turnout in the first two phases of 2019, which was more than 69 percent in both phases. CPI(M) General Secretary Sitaram Yechury said that finally the Election Commission has released the final voting figures for the first two phases, which are not insignificant but much higher than the preliminary figures. Trinamool Congress leader Derek O’Brien said that four days after the second phase ended, the Election Commission released the final voting figures.
