England's veteran cricketer Kevin Pietersen has shared his rant about Hardik Pandya's ongoing situation at Mumbai Indians and fans are clamoring at every venue including the Wankhede Stadium. Hardik's homecoming in Mumbai did not go as planned for him as fans did not welcome the franchise's decision to replace Rohit Sharma, who led him to a joint-most five IPL titles, as the captain. The flamboyant all-rounder has been facing heat from cricket fans on the field and on social media. The home fans booed him so loudly at the Wankhede Stadium that even Rohit had to ask the crowd to calm down in the RCB match against RR and Virat Kohli.

“What I saw this evening was not enough. I saw a captain from a team meeting five hours ago who had plan A and a captain who didn't want to go to plan B when he had to go to plan B. It's like how you don't bowl a spinner in this land when your seamers are going for 20. Can we bowl a spinner? ?Star Sports.

The former England captain claimed that Hardik was faking it by smiling too much as the fans' boos affected him during the toss and fielding. Peterson, who was in the firing line of fans at one point during his career, said he knows what it feels like when fans turn their backs on you.

“I think everything away from the game with Hardik Pandya is affecting him a lot. He smiles a lot when he's tossing, he tries to act like he's very happy. He's not happy. I've been there. I'm in the firing line and I'm in the right firing line, I'm in the firing line. You know, you know, I'm in the firing line and I can tell you now, it affects you,” he added.

The veteran batsman further pointed out that the boos will definitely affect Hardik's game which was reflected in his bowling in the last over in front of MS Dhoni who scored 20 runs off the last four balls.

“What's happening to Hardik Pandya, the boos we're hearing now and how happy he is to see former CSK captain Singh (MS Dhoni) thrashing him across the park, it hurts you because he has feelings. And he's an Indian player and he doesn't want to behave like this, it's on his cricket. is having an effect and something must happen.
