NSW unveiled their list of 2024-25 contracts with Maddison, who returns to NSW after six seasons with Victoria, and Phillip, who crossed over from Western Australia.
NSW Head of Cricket Performance Greg Maile was delighted to have the three youngsters in the squad. “Both Sam and Jack confirmed their talent and development at domestic level last season and deserve their promotion to full contracts,” said the Mail. “By the same token, Ryan Hicks and Charlie Anderson have shown at international level at Under-19 level and then through the weight of consistency at Premier Cricket level they are ready for rookie contracts and a full-time professional opportunity.
“Players of Josh and Nick's caliber are not available every season and we are very pleased to welcome them to the fold. Both bring a wealth of talent and experience and they will help with the balance and depth of our squad. We have a real group of experienced senior players who will help develop our emerging talent.
